YARD RAMPS

Beacon^® Yard Ramps are versatile equipment used for loading and unloading cargo from trucks and trailers when there is no loading dock available. They bridge the gap between the ground and the trailer bed, allowing forklifts or other equipment to move goods in and out of the trailer. There are two primary materials used for constructing yard ramps: steel and aluminum, each with its own set of advantages and considerations.
Steel Yard Ramps:
1. Construction: Steel yard ramps are made of durable steel materials, which makes them robust and capable of handling heavy loads.
2. Length and Platform: They are available in different lengths, such as 30', 36', or 40', and often come with a 6' or 10' level-off platform at the top for easy access to the trailer.
3. Service Range: Steel ramps typically have a service range of 45" to 62" for semi trailers, allowing them to accommodate a variety of trailer heights. They are designed to float with the trailer suspension during loading and unloading to ensure stability. The smaller ramps are designed to accommodate smaller trucks.
4. Economical: Steel yard ramps are usually more cost-effective compared to aluminum ramps.
5. Weight: They are heavier than aluminum ramps, which can make them more challenging to move and position.
Aluminum Yard Ramps:
1. Construction: Aluminum yard ramps are made of lightweight aluminum materials, making them easy to move and handle.
2. Capacity: They are available in various weight capacities, including 16,000, 20,000, 25,000, or 30,000 lbs., allowing you to choose the one that suits your specific needs.
3. Width: Aluminum ramps come in different widths, typically 74", 86", or 95", providing options for various types of cargo and equipment.
4. Corrosion Resistance: Aluminum is naturally resistant to corrosion, making aluminum ramps a preferred choice in environments with salt air or other corrosive elements.
5. Mobility: Due to their lighter weight, aluminum yard ramps are easier to move and position. This feature can be essential if you need to relocate the ramp frequently.

The 18" rubber wheels allows for yard mobility. Wheels are raised with hydraulic pump. Includes 3 flip bridge plates.	8) Self Supporting Yard Ramp with Edge of Dock Leveler View 14 Models Our BYRDS stands independent from the truck. Available with self supporting stationary or portable hand crank legs. The 9" steel wheels allows for trailer bumb creep. Includes Edge of Dock Leveler +/- 5" adjustment.
9) Dock Yard Ramp View 16 Models The BDYR is anchored to the top of the loading dock, enabling vehicles to drive up to and down from the dock. The unit provides more efficient dock-to-road access.	10) Railcar Loading Ramp View 22 Models This BRSYS assists in loading and unloading of railcars in the field and assists in railcar to ground surface. These units are constructed of heavy-duty welded steel.
